Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor all tenants and guests entering and leaving the building, ensuring a secure and respectful environment.
  • Document all activities in the communication logbook, maintaining accurate records of events.
  • Regularly patrol tenant floors and administrative offices, providing a visible presence and addressing any concerns.
  • Intervene in crisis situations, providing appropriate support and guidance when necessary.
  • Gather and maintain work order requests, submitting them to maintenance for prompt attention.
  • Conduct orientations to the building for all tenants, ensuring they are familiar with emergency exits, procedures for trash removal, laundry, and other essential information.
  • Answer phones and direct calls as required, providing excellent customer service.
  • Monitor security cameras, ensuring the safety and security of the building.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED/HSE, or related experience.
  • Experience working in an institutional setting and/or providing security services.
  • Certified in CPR and First Aid, or willing to obtain certification after employment.
  • Comfortable with computer-based data entry and using Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good judgment and conflict resolution skills.
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a CDC or WHO authorized vaccine, or approved for an exemption as a reasonable accommodation.
Travel Requirements:

Occasional travel to the Harlem and/or Long Island City offices for meetings or trainings.

Physical Demands:

Ability to physically monitor hallways of a 12-floor building, and climb multiple flights of stairs when needed.
