We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Production Operator to join our team at Balchem Corporation. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for maintaining the continual operation of the Cooker machine while adhering to all OSHA standards, safety standards, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Communicate effectively with the Slurry Operator to ensure timely and efficient production.
- Operate the Cooker machine, making necessary changes and maintaining accurate records.
- Utilize the Programmable Logic Controller to load recipes and perform manual and auto cooker operations.
- Maintain a sanitary work area and adhere to all OSHA standards and Balchem Corporation's Standard Operating Procedures.
- Identify and report any safety concerns or hazards to management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Three to six months of related experience and/or training.
- Strong motivation, organization, time management, and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Strong work ethics, including punctuality, dependability, and trustworthiness.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
- Effective communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, to talk and hear, and to utilize specific vision abilities.
- Regularly required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl, using proper ergonomic principles.
- Periodically required to lift up to and above 50 and 100 pounds, utilizing safe and proper lift techniques and equipment.
- Rarely required to sit.
- May be exposed to wet or humid conditions, working near moving mechanical parts, work in extreme heat (non-weather), work in high noise levels and vibration.
