Job Title: Per Diem Direct Support Professional

About the Role:

We are seeking a Per Diem Direct Support Professional to provide support to adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities, promoting their health, safety, and well-being. As a Per Diem employee, you will work on a flexible schedule, supporting individuals in their daily needs, including personal hygiene, food preparation, and house cleaning.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to program participants, meeting their needs and promoting community integration.
  • Ensure the daily needs of participants are met, including personal hygiene, food preparation, and house cleaning.
  • Assist participants with accessing the community, arranging transportation as needed.
  • Treat participants with dignity and consideration, promoting their ability to make decisions and exercise their rights.
  • Interact with participants, providing informal counseling and problem-solving.
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
Requirements:
  • Both written and spoken English language proficiency required.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Washington State Driver's License, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance required.
  • Must be willing to transport clients.
  • Must be located in and eligible/authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be willing to undergo a background check.
  • First Aid/CPR Certified (training can be provided).
  • Have an active NAR/HCA/CNA certification.
  • Have an active CPI certification (preferred).
  • Blood Borne Pathogen certification (within 120 days of employment, training can be provided).
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Be fully vaccinated from Covid-19 (or have an approved exemption).
