Job Overview
The Lead Financial Reporting Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting both internal and external financial reporting functions. This includes aiding in the creation of quarterly and annual financial statements, along with conducting account reconciliations and analyses.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive documentation and analyses for various SEC filings, including 10-Qs, 10-Ks, 8-Ks, Proxies, and Annual Reports, with a focus on footnotes and MD&A disclosures.
  • Review and analyze data submitted by different divisions/business units for quarterly consolidated financial reporting, which encompasses PP&E and deferred charges (software), intercompany reconciliations, and account fluctuation assessments.
  • Utilize the Hyperion Financial Management system to fulfill both external and internal reporting obligations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors by providing necessary documentation for financial statements and footnote disclosures, while addressing their inquiries.
  • Lead the process of recording and reconciling goodwill and intangible assets.
  • Assist in the annual asset retirement obligation process, coordinating with external valuation experts.
  • Support the preparation of the annual financial statements for the Employee Savings Plan filed on Form 11-K.
  • Contribute to special projects, including acquisition support, technical research, and government reporting.
  • Engage in various SOX activities, such as preparing risk assessments, conducting walkthroughs, and testing for selected sites.
  • Perform quality control reviews of specific in-scope SOX sites.
  • Assist in managing the SOX database and provide guidance to users.
  • Support other annual government survey reporting requirements.
