Responsibilities:

About the position:


The GM Financial Account Executive is accountable for sales, service, and support for designated GM franchise dealers and related GM Financial products.

This team member will deliver exceptional customer service by addressing the business needs of the dealers, manufacturer partners, and GM Financial.

The primary responsibility of this team member will be to cultivate dealer relationships that generate loan and lease contracts, floor plan accounts, and commercial lending accounts in accordance with GM Financial's established credit risk and profitability standards.


In this position, you will:
Assist our dealers in increasing sales of new GM units, used vehicles, and enhancing profitability

Manage assigned dealer relationships within a specific geographic area to meet key objectives while providing support and service on all GM Financial initiatives and systems

Maintain effective communication with dealers and relevant internal partners

Exhibit self-motivation with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to drive change in your designated market

Be prepared for mobility, as long-term career advancement is a requirement for Account Executives with GM Financial

Qualifications:
What qualities make you an ideal candidate?

Professionally represent the brand and demonstrate our captive value proposition

Manage dealer relationships to enhance sales and engagement with GM Financial

Support and promote all programs, systems, incentives, and rewards

Act as a liaison between the dealer and the Credit Center, Funding, Commercial Lending, and other functional areas to resolve issues by collaborating with subject matter experts

Analyze dealer-specific data using reporting tools and take appropriate actions

Identify and address dealer issues that pose excessive risk to GM Financial, such as portfolio concerns, fraud, and dealer agreement violations

Present information to senior management within GM Financial and GM dealerships

Encourage a culture of teamwork, excellence, inclusion, and integrity

Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's Degree is strongly preferred, or extensive relevant experience

3-5 years of experience in the automotive industry, lending, or sales in a related field is preferred

18 months as a GM Financial Account Executive, or completion of the Strategic Account Management Program is preferred

Working Conditions:
This role may necessitate overnight travel within the assigned territory

Responding to dealer communications outside of standard business hours
