**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensing Specialist to join our team at Safe Children Coalition Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for licensing and supporting foster families and children in our Out of Home Care Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of prospective foster families to ensure they meet our licensing requirements.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation for initial and relicensing of foster families.
  • Provide training and support to foster families to ensure they are equipped to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children.
  • Conduct regular visits to foster homes to ensure compliance with our standards and regulations.
  • Participate in case review consultations to ensure the best interests of the children are being met.
  • Provide advocacy and support to assigned foster families to ensure their needs are being met.
  • Participate in foster home recruitment activities to increase the number of safe and suitable foster homes available for children.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community resources to ensure access to necessary services for foster families and children.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in social services, preferably in child welfare.
  • Valid Florida Driver's License and ability to meet state criminal background check requirements.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and be available on-call as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Child Welfare Certification.
  • Knowledge of community resources and ability to develop and maintain relationships with these resources.
