About the Role

Hannaford Supermarkets is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Service Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Front End Operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our customer service desk, managing a team of associates, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Train and develop a team of customer service associates to meet departmental needs
  • Manage the Front End operations, including scheduling, ordering, and inventory management
  • Provide exceptional customer service, resolving customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Supervise the performance of all Front End associates, providing feedback and coaching as needed
  • Assist in managing work schedules to meet customer service standards and associate needs
Requirements
  • A high school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred
  • Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills
  • Ability to lead and manage a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to use computers and other communication systems required
  • Perform repetitive hand and arm motions
  • Bend and lift products weighing up to 15 lbs. continuously, 25 lbs. frequently, and 50 lbs. on occasion
  • Pull or push up to 75 lbs. on occasion
Preferred Requirements
  • Promote customer goodwill by role modeling and providing high standards in customer service
  • Treat all associates with fairness, dignity, and respect
  • Assist in managing the Front End operations in accordance with established department standard practices
