Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dishwasher and Sanitation Specialist to join our team at Thomas Cuisine. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in our dishwashing area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate industrial dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ensure all dishes and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to health and safety regulations.
  • Assist kitchen staff with various tasks, including food prep, inventory management, and general cleaning.
  • Monitor dishwashing equipment for proper functioning and report any issues to maintenance staff.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dishwashing area, including storage of clean dishes and utensils.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and protocols while handling chemicals and operating equipment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a dishwasher or kitchen utility role, preferably in a food service or healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of sanitation and hygiene standards related to dishwashing and food service.
  • Ability to operate industrial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in food safety or sanitation is a plus.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
