Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to assist in maintaining a clean and healthy environment for our residents. As a Dishwasher, you will be responsible for washing and sanitizing dishes, cleaning the kitchen and dining area, and assisting with other tasks as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in cleaning dining room tables and dining area as necessary.
  • Wash and sanitize all utensils, chinaware, eating silverware, and glassware.
  • Clean and maintain the dish room, including washing floor mats, draining and cleaning the dishwasher, and shining stainless steel.
  • Clean and organize the janitor's closet.
  • Sweep and mop dish room and kitchen floors, storage areas, the employee break room, and delivery entrance as scheduled or requested by management.
  • Vacuum the dining room floor as needed.
  • Take out all garbage and clean all garbage cans daily.
  • Bus tables and side stand as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Able to push, pull, and lift at least 30 pounds.
  • Frequent transporting of residents in a wheelchair.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for periods of up to eight hours with breaks.
  • Must be able to routinely follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written; English language skills adequate to allow communication with residents and staff, and to understand written and verbal instructions.
  • A compassion for our senior residents is required.
