Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related discipline is preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Preconstruction Manager or Estimator role is preferred
  • Proficient in working both independently and collaboratively
  • Skilled in creating professional presentations and detailed cost reports
  • Familiarity with estimating software such as SmartBidNet, Bluebeam, On-Screen Take Off, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel) is preferred
  • Strong analytical and mathematical abilities, with a keen attention to detail
  • Capability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all phases of the preconstruction process from design inception to the commencement of construction.
  • Establish trust and provide guidance to the project team through professional services that yield optimal value.
  • Evaluate labor, material, and time requirements for projects to gain a comprehensive understanding of each project's scope.
  • Deliver cost estimates to both internal management and project stakeholders.
  • Compile reports that detail all project costs and explore value engineering options.
  • Support design teams throughout the project design phase.
  • Develop options studies and design alternatives.
  • Create preconstruction timelines.
  • Assess design documents for feasibility and bidding readiness.
  • Manage the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Draft contracts for subcontractors and purchase orders for suppliers.
