Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing high-quality care and services to Occupational Health patients at Piedmont HealthCare. This role requires collaboration with clinical, technical, clerical, administrative, and support staff to facilitate patient care and progress.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct physicals according to specific requirements established by individual corporations and regulatory agencies, such as DOT and OSHA.
• Administer medications according to department policy and as ordered by the physician.
• Provide holistic nursing care in a high-volume, moderate-acuity ambulatory care clinic setting to adult patients within the guidelines of Piedmont Hospital and the State of Georgia for Licensed Practical Nurses.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
• Licensed as an LPN in Georgia required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum of one year experience in an occupational health setting preferred.

Physical Demands:

• Standing for long periods (6-8 hours).
• Sitting for extended periods of time.
• Bending and stooping.
• Walking for long periods.
• Lifting and positioning of heavy patients.
• Pushing/pulling and lifting heavy equipment/supplies up to 50 pounds.

Sensory Demands:

• Sight to observe patient symptoms.
• Auditory to hear patients.
• Tactile to feel patient symptoms (warmth, induration).
• Olfactory to smell disease-specific smells.

Work Environment:

This position may work at an onsite customer location without direct supervision.
