About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Clinton Machine, Inc. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing custom automated equipment and material handling systems for various industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop complex mechanical systems using 3D solid modeling software, such as SOLIDWORKS.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop machine layouts and detail drawings.
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications, including GD&T and tolerance specifications.
  • Work with sales and estimating teams to develop concept designs and plant layouts for RFQ proposals and sales presentations.
  • Analyze equipment designs and provide creative problem-solving solutions to manufacturing processes.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and development.
  • Proficiency in 3D solid modeling software, such as SOLIDWORKS.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including electro-mechanical components, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
  • AUTOCAD software experience.
  • Project managing experience.
  • Knowledge of electro-mechanical components and calculations.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and calculations.
  • Knowledge of robotics and vision systems.
  • Familiarity with system controls, including PLCs and HMI panels.
