Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Psychologist to join our team at Soliant in Elyria, Ohio. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a range of psychological services to support the academic, social, and emotional development of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough psychological and educational assessments to identify student needs and inform intervention strategies.
  • Provide Counseling Services: Offer individual and group counseling to help students address social, emotional, and behavioral issues.
  • Collaborate with Educators: Work closely with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans.
  • Support Student Development: Assist in the design and implementation of school-wide programs to promote mental health and academic achievement.
  • Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis intervention and ongoing support as necessary.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential records of all psychological services provided.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop and implement effective educational strategies and interventions.
Qualifications
  • Education: Masters degree or higher in School Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Valid Ohio Department of Education Pupil Services License with a School Psychologist endorsement.
  • Certification: Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential is a plus.
  • Skills: Proficiency in using psychological assessment tools and techniques, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively with students, parents, educators, and community organizations.
Experience
  • Prior Experience: Prior experience as a School Psychologist in a K-12 setting is preferred.
  • Diverse Experience: Experience working with diverse student populations and various disabilities is highly desirable.
