Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced School Psychologist to join our team in Elyria, Ohio. The School Psychologist will be responsible for providing a range of psychological services to support the academic, social, and emotional development of our students. This includes conducting assessments, offering counseling, and working collaboratively with educators, parents, and community partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments to identify student needs and inform intervention strategies.
  • Provide individual and group counseling to help students address social, emotional, and behavioral issues.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans.
  • Work closely with school staff to create and maintain a positive, supportive learning environment.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of school-wide programs to promote mental health and academic achievement.
  • Provide crisis intervention and ongoing support as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all psychological services provided.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop and implement effective educational strategies and interventions.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree or higher in School Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Ohio Department of Education Pupil Services License with a School Psychologist endorsement.
  • Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using psychological assessment tools and techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, parents, educators, and community organizations.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with best practices in school psychology.

Experience:

  • Prior experience as a School Psychologist in a K-12 setting is preferred.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations and various disabilities is highly desirable.
