Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Residential Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at ARCXIS. As a key member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for residential buildings.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical systems for residential buildings, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Collaborate with design staff and drafters to complete projects on time and within budget
  • Ensure all designs meet building codes and regulations, including California Title 24 and ICC International Codes
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including specifications and reports
  • Participate in quality control processes to ensure high-quality deliverables
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in mechanical design and engineering
  • Strong knowledge of CAD software, including AutoCAD and Revit
  • Experience working with building information modeling (BIM) software
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented and organized with strong time management skills
