Job Overview

DXP Enterprises is seeking a highly skilled Pump Applications Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Innovative Pumping Solutions (IPS) group, you will be responsible for providing technical support, sales, and customer service to our sales force and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise to customers and sales teams on pump applications and fluid handling systems
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to promote profitable growth and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with sales, fabrication, and vendors to ensure seamless sales efforts and customer requirements
  • Evaluate customer bid requirements, specifications, and other pertinent data to prepare proposals and cost estimates
  • Aid in the design and development of equipment and systems, as well as redesign of existing systems
  • Notify internal and external staff of new products and processes as needed
  • Facilitate prompt remedy of customer technical problems, complaints, and failures
  • Maintain organization of order files, monitor in-house orders, and assist sales and fabrication with project-related questions

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of applicable experience in pump applications and fluid handling systems
  • Knowledge of centrifugal pumps, other fluid handling equipment, and fabricated pumping systems
  • Ability to work independently to achieve targeted results
  • Well-organized and self-motivated
  • Excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills
  • Effective negotiating skills
  • Project management experience and team work skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
