JOB TITLE: Server

REPORTS TO: FOH Manager

FLSA POSITION TYPE: Part-time, Hourly Non-Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY: The role involves providing excellent service to guests while showcasing knowledge of Bell's products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Promote and uphold the Safety Always culture of Bell's Brewery.
• Appreciate the diversity and uniqueness that enhance the company’s environment.
• Engage in open communication and cooperation with all team members.
• Follow the Inspired Hospitality service guidelines.
• Perform opening and closing tasks along with light cleaning duties.
• Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
• Participate in pre-shift meetings to stay informed.
• Clean and restock glassware as needed.
• Ensure responsible alcohol service and maintain current TiPS certification.
• Communicate effectively regarding customer service issues.
• Process food orders and expedite service efficiently.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of menu items and preparation methods.
• Restock service areas with necessary supplies.
• Handle phone inquiries and direct calls appropriately.
• Accurately manage cash transactions and provide change.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of beer offerings, including descriptions and pricing.
• Understand employee discounts and policies relevant to guests.
• Maintain a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as required.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Successful candidates must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily.

• Electric glass washer
• Cleaning supplies
• POS system (Aloha)
• Coffee and tea brewing machines
• Citrus juicer
• Ice machine
• Soda fountain

• Ability to address customer concerns regarding service and beverages.
• Dynamic, ethical individual who represents Bell's Brewery positively.

• Efficient cash handling capabilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.

• Extensive knowledge of beer.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:

• Open to applicants without a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Knowledge of food and craft beer.
• Experience in a bar setting, including ID verification.
• Experience in full-service dining.
• Prior experience with cash handling.
• Familiarity with POS systems (Aloha, etc.).
• TiPS/TAM certification is a plus.
