We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Title Clerk to join our team at Time Auto Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth processing of vehicle titles and related documents.
Key Responsibilities- Process vehicle inventory entries into our Dealer Management System (DMS).
- Manage DMV processing, including retail, wholesale, in-state, and out-of-state transactions.
- Verify trades and submit Form 165 to the DMV for trades.
- Check mail daily and allocate tasks accordingly.
- Run errands, including trips to the bank, post office, and DMV Dealer Center.
- Answer and direct phone calls.
- Maintain DMV trip permits and temporary permits, submitting and reordering as required.
- Address late title issues, including calling dealers and payoffs.
- Communicate with auctions for titles and payments.
- Communicate with customers and lenders regarding questions, delays, or title status.
- Post VITU submissions to the General Ledger.
- Manage inventory jackets and file cabinets according to company specifications.
- Assist with weekly schedule management as assigned.
- Work with vendors during flooring audits and DMV audits.
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, with more experience preferred.
- Notary commission is a plus, with the requirement to obtain a notary commission within 30 days of employment. Any expenses for this commission will be covered by the employer.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Math, reading, and software skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to learn new technology, repair, and service procedures and specifications.
