Patient Service Associate

Job Summary:
Patient Dining Associates are part of the caregiving team in a healthcare facility, responsible for ensuring patient safety and satisfaction goals by delivering meals accurately and on time. The role involves working with patients to understand their menu selections, collaborating with caregivers and culinary teams to determine alternative options for patients with dietary restrictions or preferences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help patients make informed menu choices, working closely with nursing staff to ensure compliance with nutritional requirements.
- Determine menu alternatives for patients with food allergies, cultural, ethnic, or religious preferences.
- Assemble meals according to patient menu selections in a timely and accurate manner, retrieving trays from patient rooms at assigned times.
- Comply with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO requirements, adhering to facility confidentiality and patient rights policies.
- Familiarize yourself with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines when handling food, cleaning workstations, and breaking down patient tray lines.
