Patient Service Representative II

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative II to join our team at Covenant Medical Group. As a key member of our patient service team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support for the check-out operations of our physician practice.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and process encounter form data
- Total outstanding balances and payments for services rendered
- Balance work and computer at end of day
- Maintain established departmental policies and procedures
- Answer telephone calls and route accordingly
- Receive and record changes in patient information
- Ensure procedures and corresponding diagnosis are properly recorded on the fee slip for charge entry
- Schedule appointments for return visits and end of day procedures and balancing
- Compile data for the billing personnel
- Develop the A-I-D-E-T fundamentals of communication
- Attend meetings as required and participate on committees as directed
- Collaborate with the patient, physician, and other care team members as part of a team-based approach to overall patient care
Requirements:
- One (1) year experience in a medical office setting with working knowledge of clinic appointment scheduling, collection, and experience in ICD-9/10 and CPT-4 coding (charge entry) required
- Minimum three (3) years of total customer-facing/customer service experience required
