Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant or LPN to join our team in Pediatrics. As a Medical Assistant or LPN, you will provide direct patient care, which may include rooming patients, taking vitals, obtaining a comprehensive medical history, administering vaccines, injections, and medications, phlebotomy, point of care testing and medication reconciliation under the supervision of RN/Provider.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, which may include rooming patients, taking vitals, obtaining a comprehensive medical history, administering vaccines, injections, and medications, phlebotomy, point of care testing and medication reconciliation under the supervision of RN/Provider.
  • Gather requirements from internal and external customers and provide information via phone, electronic messaging and in person.
  • Initiate and follow through on prior authorizations, referrals, and process sample medications, prescriptions, and refills as directed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED - Required
  • Certificate or Associates Degree in Medical Assisting OR Associates in LPN - Required
  • 1-year Medical Assisting or LPN experience - Preferred
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA; RMA; NCMA; CCMA) - Required within 6 months of hire OR valid LPN license to practice in the state or as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) upon hire
