Job Summary:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to donors, ensuring a positive experience at our donation center.
  • Maintain a clean and organized donation area, adhering to high standards of tidiness and safety.
  • Process donations accurately and efficiently, handling transactions with precision and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Present a professional appearance at all times, adhering to our dress code policy.
  • Greet donors warmly and offer assistance as needed, providing a welcoming and inclusive environment.
  • Ensure the donation area remains clean and well-organized, with all materials properly sorted and stored.
  • Take ownership of all operations and security matters within the donation center, ensuring a safe and secure environment for donors and staff.
  • Receive and process all donated materials, obtaining email addresses from donors whenever possible.
  • Safeguard all donated materials and equipment, adhering to our center's policies and procedures.
  • Track donations accurately, adhering to our center's policies and procedures.
  • Advise donors of unacceptable materials and offer alternative solutions, such as our pick-up service.
  • Power sort donations as they arrive, ensuring efficient processing and minimizing waste.
  • Report any complaints, damage, or injuries occurring within the donation center, ensuring prompt attention and resolution.
  • Sort, load, and unload SA trucks, adhering to our center's policies and procedures.
  • Support production processes as needed, ensuring seamless operations and high-quality results.
  • Be available for a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; currently pursuing a degree is also acceptable.
  • Ability to speak, write, and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication with leadership and field personnel.
  • Basic computer skills, including payroll programs and the ability to learn new systems.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables.
  • Ability to use basic math skills and pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a store environment with a quiet to moderate noise level.
  • May be exposed to outdoor weather and temperature fluctuations.
  • May stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds regularly, with occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds.
