A leading global clinical laboratory is seeking a Senior Microbiology Laboratory Technician.

This position has the potential to evolve into a Technical Supervisor role following a successful initial period.

Work Schedule: 1st shift, Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM

Compensation: $22-$30 per hour (commensurate with experience), with a pay increase after six months leading to approximately $75,000 annually plus bonuses.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Microbiology Laboratory Technician:

  • Exhibit proficiency in various assays, troubleshoot common issues, and mentor junior staff.
  • Execute departmental protocols and showcase effective laboratory practices.
  • Evaluate the acceptability of quality control results with expertise.
  • Communicate sample-related concerns within and outside the department to ensure effective client interactions.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on all laboratory instruments on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Assist in the assessment and development of innovative procedures.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for all laboratory personnel and the laboratory director.
  • Act as the first responder during emergencies on the assigned shift.

Qualifications for the Senior Microbiology Laboratory Technician:

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Biological or Chemical Sciences
  • Required training and experience in supervisory or leadership roles
