Key Responsibilities

The Site Construction Manager will be responsible for overseeing and assessing construction projects in alignment with established timelines and budgets. This position requires close collaboration with the project team to ensure the highest standards of quality and timely project completion. The individual must possess the ability to identify and resolve issues on-site, making informed decisions that align with Howard CDM's objectives. Accountability for the safety and financial success of the project is paramount.

  • Establish and maintain a well-organized job site to guarantee the safety of employees, subcontractors, clients, and visitors.
  • Obtain and manage all necessary building permits and regulatory requirements.
  • Guide all on-site personnel to ensure project completion within the designated schedule and budget, while adhering to quality standards.
  • Develop and uphold the construction schedule.
  • Procure materials and coordinate inspections as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Foster a culture of safety on-site, promoting safe work practices and addressing any hazards promptly.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and team members.
  • Communicate effectively and consistently with the project manager.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and workshops as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Building Construction, or a related field, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong leadership, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Microsoft Project, and other construction management software such as Procore and BlueBeam.
  • Comprehensive understanding of commercial construction processes and business management, along with familiarity with state contractor licensing laws.
  • OSHA 30 Certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A valid California Driver's License is required.

  • Competitive salary range of $90,000 to $130,000 annually.
