Cardiac Catheterization Technologist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Tech to join our team at Sharon Regional Medical Center. As a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.

The Cardiac Cath Lab Tech will assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cath lab and interventional radiology areas. This includes providing advanced technical assistance, performing in a sterile scrub role or circulating role, and safely operating laboratory equipment.

• Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cath lab and interventional radiology areas.
• Provide advanced technical assistance, performing in a sterile scrub role or circulating role.
• Safely operate laboratory equipment, including radiology and ancillary equipment.
• Use critical thinking skills to problem-solve technical issues during diagnostic and interventional cases.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
• Accurately document technical, clinical, and financial components as required in daily activities.
• Maintain a knowledge of equipment, treatment interventions, and current trends in daily practice for the cardiology and interventional radiology services provided.
• Assist with patient preparation for or following procedures, including patient transport, cardiac monitoring, vital signs, skin prep, sheath removal, and basic patient instructions.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies within the assigned work area, including CPR, ACLS, and assisting RNs and physicians.
• Actively participate in department-specific and health system cost/quality improvement efforts, including the cath lab/interventional supply inventory and ordering.

• Registered Radiological Technician (ARRT)
• High School Diploma/GED
• BS preferred
• CPR/BLS required upon hire
• AHA or ARC
• Clearances as required by Federal and State law
• ACLS within six months from hire
