Job Summary

The Cardiac Cath Lab Tech plays a vital role in the delivery of exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with physicians to provide advanced technical assistance during diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional procedures, providing technical assistance in a sterile scrub role or circulating role.
  • Safely operate laboratory equipment, including radiology and ancillary equipment, and demonstrate competency with Impella Pump.
  • Use critical thinking skills to problem-solve technical issues during cases, communicating effectively with the team to ensure seamless care.
  • Accurately document technical, clinical, and financial components of daily activities.
  • Maintain knowledge of equipment, treatment interventions, and current trends in daily practice for cardiology and interventional radiology services.
  • Assist with patient preparation for or following procedures, including patient transport, cardiac monitoring, vital signs, skin prep, and basic patient instructions.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies within the assigned work area, including CPR and ACLS.
Requirements
  • Registered Radiological Technician - ARRT
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • BS preferred
  • CPR/BLS certification required
  • Clearances as required by Federal and State law
  • ACLS certification within six months from hire
