Job Summary

Vallen is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Storeroom Attendant to join our team. As a Storeroom Attendant, you will be responsible for receiving, stocking, and issuing inventory to meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Unload and receive incoming products, goods, tools, and equipment, and accurately sort, label, and store items.
  • Issue products, goods, tools, and equipment to site employees, and maintain accurate records for issued and returned items.
  • Enter data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records, and retrieve stored information to respond to inquiries.
  • Request requisitions to replenish inventory, and assist with inventory level maintenance, including performing cycle counts and preparing report results.
  • Inspect and measure tools and equipment for defects, wear, and tear, and report damage or wear to supervisors.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, coupled with 3+ months of relevant experience and/or training.
  • Relevant experience and/or aptitude in loading, unloading, picking, packing, or moving goods in a warehouse environment, with forklift or cherry picker experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, work orders, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Basic computer knowledge and proficiency, with preferred technical skills including MS-Office products, Vista, Control, SX.e, and Prophet 21.
  • Demonstrated basic mathematical skills, including the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work in a team environment and be self-motivated to accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

The Storeroom Attendant will work in a warehouse environment, with the ability to work in extreme hot or cold temperatures, and may be required to handle hazardous materials and wear various forms of protective equipment.

The Storeroom Attendant will be required to lift up to 25 lbs. or greater with assistance, and will be expected to stand, walk, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance regularly. Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus are required.
