Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Shop Mechanic to join our team at N C Machinery. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex equipment, including Caterpillar machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair Caterpillar equipment, including engines, powertrains, electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Use CAT diagnostic equipment, CAT repair tooling, rigging and blocking equipment to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Plan and organize work to ensure efficient use of time and resources.
- Investigate and analyze problems to identify root causes and recommend solutions.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth operation of the shop.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, or a graduate of a 2-4 year vocational technical school training institution.
- A valid driver's license, as you will be required to operate forklifts and other equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products and Outlook.
- Ability to stand for up to eight hours per day and perform physical tasks such as twisting, bending, squatting, sitting, stooping and kneeling.
- Flexibility to travel for extended periods of time to work with customers.
