Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Baptist Memorial Health Care. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing and reporting laboratory procedures, ensuring accurate and timely test processing, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Receive, identify, organize, and prioritize specimens for accurate and timely test processing.
  • Perform and report requested laboratory procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct quality control, proficiency testing, routine instrument maintenance, and inventory control to ensure optimal laboratory operations.
  • Evaluate patient identification to reduce analytical and post-analytical errors and adverse patient outcomes.
  • Assess, evaluate, and draw appropriate conclusions from laboratory results.
  • Support lifelong learning and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • State licensure and/or national registration or certification in concordance with current Federal and/or State Regulations.
  • Preferred: Hospital experience and ASCP certification.
  • Minimum: Basic computer literacy and completion of an accredited MT program.
