Job Title: CT Technologist-Clinic

Overview

Fairview Health Services has an immediate opening for a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist at the Maplewood Imaging Center located in Maplewood, MN.

Position Details
  • 1.0 FTE - (80 hours worked per 2 weeks)
  • Typical schedule is 10-hour shifts, 4 days a week, 10:00AM-8:30PM and one weekend a month
  • Benefit eligible
ResponsibilitiesJob Description

Maintain a high level of patient care and prioritize work to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Perform examinations and identify relevant data from images accurately.

Use appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family and other customer needs.

Communicate pertinent data clearly to the appropriate healthcare professional.

Participate in crafting a culture of patient safety.

Demonstrate knowledge of emergency preparedness.

Verify patient identification and educate patients regarding pertinent information during all aspects of the exam.

Achieve quality diagnostic images through accurate patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol.

Apply established professional guidelines and standards to complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing procedures.

Ensure patient data integrity.

Adhere to radiologic safety guidelines and diagnostic testing protocols/procedures.

Accurately document in compliance with regulatory agency requirements, completes computer functions, edits, scheduling, and billing status changes.

Follow infection control guidelines.

Serve as a resource for other healthcare team members.

Respond appropriately to emergent situations.

Assess the validity of the test results to determine if consistent with changing physiological conditions or if due to possible interfering substances.

Act as a resource for problem-solving resolution.

Participate in department/facility process/quality improvement for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for position.

Clean and maintain room and supplies.

Provide coordinated services with customers and care partners to ensure high-quality care and contribute to a positive work environment.

Accurately operate equipment according to accepted standards and guidelines.

Identify and respond to equipment problems to ensure equipment is working at a high level of proficiency.

Accept new technology as it's introduced into the facility and participate in Quality Assurance testing as required by regulatory agencies and/or manufacturer recommendations.
