Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team at Fairview Health Services. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures, providing excellent patient care, and working collaboratively with our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and prioritize work to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Perform examinations and identify relevant data from images accurately
  • Use appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family and other customer needs
  • Communicate pertinent data clearly to the appropriate healthcare professional
  • Participate in crafting a culture of patient safety
  • Verify patient identification and educate patients regarding pertinent information during all aspects of the exam
  • Achieve quality diagnostic images through accurate patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol
  • Apply established professional guidelines and standards to complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing procedures
  • Ensure patient data integrity and adhere to radiologic safety guidelines and diagnostic testing protocols/procedures
  • Accurately document in compliance with regulatory agency requirements and complete computer functions, edits, scheduling, and billing status changes
  • Follow infection control guidelines and serve as a resource for other healthcare team members
  • Respond appropriately to emergent situations and image marking and digital image manipulation and archiving
  • Assess the validity of test results to determine if consistent with changing physiological conditions or if due to possible interfering substances
  • Act as a resource for problem-solving resolution and participate in department/facility process/quality improvement
  • Clean and maintain room and supplies and provide coordinated services with customers and care partners to ensure high-quality care and contribute to a positive work environment
  • Accurately operate equipment according to accepted standards and guidelines and identify and respond to equipment problems to ensure equipment is working at a high level of proficiency
Requirements
  • Current Registration with American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - from American Red Cross or American Heart Association and current before hire date
  • Preferred: 1 or more years of experience in a related role and additional certifications in Imaging
