About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Store Cleaning Associate to join our team at TJ Maxx. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, ensuring a positive customer experience, and upholding our company's high standards of quality and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the operation of floor care equipment and adherence to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Support and embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect, promoting a safe and inclusive work environment.
  • Adhere to all company policies concerning Health and Safety, including the refilling of essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
  • Cross-train in other areas of the store, including Backroom, Front End, Sales Floor, and other areas as needed.
  • Support and respond to all Front End coverage needs, ensuring seamless customer service and a positive shopping experience.
  • Adhere to all operational and loss prevention controls in accordance with company guidelines and policies, including shrink reduction.
  • Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates, promoting open and transparent communication throughout the store.
Requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs, including early morning shifts and varying hours.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, ensuring a clean and organized store environment.
  • Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate floor care equipment, including the ability to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Capable of multi-tasking, responding to changing priorities and unexpected situations in a calm and professional manner.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to listen and respond effectively.
