Job Description

**Job Summary:**

Provides behavioral health clinical services for patients across various settings, including hospitals, emergency departments, primary care, and ambulatory behavioral health offices.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provides behavioral health clinical services for patients
  • Works independently and as a team member to achieve treatment goals
  • Develops and leads therapeutic groups, including cognitive behavioral, psychoeducational, DBT, and supportive therapy sessions
  • Formulates treatment plans in conjunction with the treatment team
  • Assesses clients in emergency situations and initiates transfers to higher levels of care when needed

**Requirements:**

  • Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling
  • Licensed to practice independently and formulate diagnoses in the State of New Mexico as a LCSW or LPCC
  • Completion of prevention and management of aggressive behavior course within 2 months
  • BLS within 6 months

**Work Environment:**

Works in a fast-paced environment with multiple simultaneous activities around patient care. Exposure to infectious diseases and intermittent exposure possible to blood, excrements, odors, and noise.

**Physical Requirements:**

Emotional and physical ability to cope with stress and physical nature of inpatient work with behavioral health patients. Ability to handle emergency/crisis situations, prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking.
