Job Title: Human Resource Assistant

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resource Assistant to join our team at Paragon Honda. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing recruitment, onboarding, FMLA management, employee relations, benefits administration, and HR policy and procedure development.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state laws
* Participate in staffing logistics and take responsibility for recruiting staff when support is needed by managers
* Maintain all applicant documentation as directed by governing agencies and Paragon Honda
* Onboard all new employees in a professional and friendly manner, leading with our mission
* Maintain personnel files in accordance with federal and state laws, ensuring all information is completed and audited monthly
* Implement programs to improve employee experience
* Coach, counsel, and guide managers before executing employee disciplinary actions
* Responsible for employee offboarding, including preparing termination and severance letters
* Administer compensation and benefit plans, managing the yearly open enrollment period for benefit plans
* Ensure compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification and periodically audit Forms I-9
* Ensure compliance with state-specific human resources laws and legislation
* Compile and maintain statistical data/information and provide as required to the EEOC, OSHA, DOL, management team, etc.

**Requirements:**

* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
* Three to five years of related experience, with at least two years in a management position, and/or combination of comparable education and experience
* Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), or SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred
