Key Responsibilities:
  • Full-time role
  • Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 10 AM to 6:30 PM
  • Transport patients to and from the Radiology Department, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Assist technologists with various procedures and patient transfers.
  • Educate and prepare patients for their examinations, including assisting with questionnaires and positioning.
  • Prepare exam rooms and necessary equipment, maintaining cleanliness and organization.
  • Manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Document exams accurately and keep patients and their families informed about their progress.
  • Perform vital signs when required and assist with the submission of exams to radiologists.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Self-motivated, compassionate, and able to work collaboratively with others.
  • Previous experience in a radiology or healthcare setting is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of safe patient handling techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to transport patients safely, with respect for their diverse needs.
  • Basic first aid knowledge is beneficial.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Current BLS certification or completion of training within 30 days of employment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Regular heavy lifting, often exceeding 100 pounds.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through speaking, hearing, and seeing.
  • Physical agility for patient care, including stooping, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Frequent walking and standing required.
  • Manual dexterity for data entry and vital sign assessments.
  • Adequate hearing and vision, with corrections if necessary, to perform job duties effectively.
