Job Description

We are seeking a skilled RN Charge Nurse to oversee the care of patients withdrawing from substances in our 24/7 free-standing facility. The ideal candidate will have strong therapeutic communication skills, verbal de-escalation skills, and knowledge of safety principles and infection control.

The RN Charge Nurse will work under minimal supervision, performing supervisory functions for professional nursing and supportive staff. They will be responsible for ensuring continuity of patient care, planning staff assignments, providing direct patient care, and evaluating patient outcomes.

The successful candidate will be able to apply nursing principles, practices, and techniques to assess patients' needs and coordinate proper nursing care. They will also be able to respond appropriately to emergency situations and use computers and computer systems.

This is a regular full-time position with varied shifts. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including up to 27 paid days off per year, immediate retirement plan employer contribution, and generous medical plans.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of two years of professional nursing experience, preferably in mental health or substance use disorder treatment
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • RN license required
