Job Description:

In this role, you will be responsible for defining the concept of operations for a lunar lander mission, with a particular focus on system autonomy definition, simulation & modeling, validation activities, and leading mission phase or activity definition.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop system autonomy definitions, simulation & modeling, validation activities, and lead mission phase or activity definition.

Key responsibilities include translating high-level CONOPS to vehicle autonomy descriptions, sequence diagrams, or operations procedures, as well as developing MBSE activity models and physics-based simulations to validate mission performance.

Requirements:
  • B.S. or M.S. in aerospace engineering or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience on space missions, including in late development cycles (post-CDR to launch).
  • Direct experience in systems engineering and basic familiarity with all major subsystems of robotic spacecraft.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams.
