School Psychologist Position in Milford, CT

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team in Milford, CT. As a School Psychologist, you will play a critical role in supporting the educational and mental health needs of students. Key Responsibilities- Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough psychological assessments and evaluations for students to identify their strengths, challenges, and areas of need.
- Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement individualized education plans that meet the unique needs of each student.
- Provide Counseling and Support Services: Offer counseling and support services to students to help them overcome academic, social, and emotional challenges.
- Collaborate with Educational Teams: Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and administrators to create supportive educational environments that promote student success.
- Participate in Multidisciplinary Team Meetings: Participate in regular team meetings to discuss student progress, share best practices, and develop strategies to support student success.
- Advocate for Student Needs: Advocate for students' mental health and educational needs, ensuring that they receive the support and resources they require to succeed.
- Support Crisis Intervention and Conflict Resolution Initiatives: Support crisis intervention and conflict resolution initiatives to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Masters or Doctoral Degree in School Psychology: Possess a Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Valid School Psychologist Certification in Connecticut: Hold a valid School Psychologist certification in Connecticut.
- Experience in a School Setting: Possess experience working in a school setting, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
