Responsibilities and Facility DetailsOphthalmology physicians at our hospital in New York are responsible for performing surgery one day a week. They will work with a great support staff, including five photographers, three OPTs, one NP, and one orthoptist per diem.
EMR and EquipmentWe use Med Flow in the clinic and Cerner at the hospital. Our physicians will have access to a range of equipment, including two OCT-Sirrus 5000, Fundus Camera, Optos FA/Fundus Camera, two Humprey Visual Field, Goldman Visual Field, IOL master, Penticam, A&B Scan, two Auto Refractor, Heine, Patient Acuity Meter, YAG Laser, Argon Laser, 21 Slit Lamps, two Portable Indirect, Handheld Autorefractor, four Tronopen, Pachymeter, two Keratomotor-Manual, and three Lensometers-Automated/Manual.
Call ScheduleOur physicians are on third-round call, with residents taking first and second-round call.
Qualifications and SkillsOphthalmology physicians at our hospital in New York should have excellent clinical skills and a strong work ethic. They should be able to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
CommunityOur hospital is located in a beautiful area with great shopping, local wineries, beautiful beaches, fitness centers, restaurants, and outdoor recreation opportunities. We are minutes from several international airports and have a local airport just 20 minutes from the hospital.
