Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of our patients' treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and collection of clinical data.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account patients' medical histories, current health status, and treatment goals.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform minor surgical procedures as needed.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and empowering them to take an active role in their care.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of New York.
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
