What are we seeking in our Global Mobility Specialist?
Russell Tobin & Associates, a prominent player in the social media services sector, is in search of a Global Mobility Specialist to join our remote team.
Employment Type: Contract/ Remote
Compensation: $36-$42/hr, based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with employees, management, recruiters, and various internal departments to offer guidance and clarity on immigration, relocation, and global movement processes by addressing fundamental inquiries submitted to the team.
- Initiate and oversee immigration cases while collaborating with immigration counsel for visa assessments.
- Coordinate with our relocation partners and maintain close communication with employees and recruiters throughout the processing phase to ensure seamless transitions.
- Perform basic data transactions in Workday, our HR information system, to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
- Provide necessary employee information to our accounting teams for invoice processing, ensuring accuracy in our billing procedures.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to guarantee that service levels align with relocation objectives.
- Maintain mobility and immigration trackers, as well as process documentation related to international assignments, relocations, or immigration initiatives.
- Assist the Global Mobility team with tasks related to international assignments and permanent transfers.
- Work in partnership with the Global Mobility team on case initiations and inquiries.
- Offer general administrative support to the Global Mobility team as required.
- Keep Workday data updated for mobility and immigration matters (e.g., entering certificate of coverage dates, visa types and expirations, assignment letters, etc.).
- Serve as the primary contact for right-to-work escalation inquiries from the People Care team.
- Maintain employee-facing documents and process documents for recruiters and HR business partners.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of general HR experience; preferably 2 years in immigration, global mobility, or relocation management within a fast-paced, multinational organization.
- 2+ years of experience coordinating with vendors to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with HRIS tools (Workday preferred) and the ability to create, review, and utilize data from exports and dashboards.
- Process-oriented with exceptional communication skills, strong initiative, follow-up abilities, and a customer-service mindset are essential for this role.
- Ability to work efficiently, manage daily tasks independently, and meet specified deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail with a keen ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies.
- Technical proficiency and demonstrated capability to leverage technology tools for efficiency, process improvement, and enhanced client experience.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and using sound judgment to reach resolutions.
- Experience reviewing company policies and practices to determine appropriate actions.
- Proficient in Google Suite applications including Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and be an effective team player.
- Process improvement mindset.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to a rapidly changing business environment and global growth.
- Proven ability to work with diverse employee populations and assess varying needs.
