About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mobile iOS engineer with 8+ years of experience to join our team. As a mobile engineer, you'll be responsible for developing features and functionality, owning and scaling shared services, and staying up-to-date with the latest iOS trends and best practices. You'll work closely with other partner teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, build, test, and refine Gusto's native iOS app and supporting mobile web-views
  • Build, iterate, and refine product feature offerings that allow employers to perform core business functions
  • Collaborate with product management, design, and other partner teams to understand technical and customer pain points
  • Work cross-functionally with various product apps, identity, security, design systems, and infrastructure to bring world-class experiences to our customers
  • Build and scale core services such as push-notification systems and localization
  • Improve and maintain iOS and Mobile infrastructure

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of Swift-iOS software engineering experience and at least 8 years of Mobile software engineering experience
  • Strong communication and cross-functional partnership skills
  • Self-driven mindset and ability to work on green field projects
  • Working knowledge of MVVM
  • Experience with iOS testing frameworks and best practices
  • Experience in constructing platform and common components to enhance scalability, consistency, and maintainability
  • Strong critical thinking skills and keen attention to detail

Bonus Points

  • Ability to deliver high-quality code across a diverse tech stack
  • Strong knowledge of SwiftUI and/or GraphQL
  • Familiarity with analytics and monitoring tools
  • Familiarity with mobile infrastructure such as CI/CD, automated test environments, build & release systems

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive cash compensation package, with a targeted range of $225,000-$245,000 for San Francisco, Seattle & New York and $185,000-$205,000 for Denver. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, 401(k)s, and a range of other perks and rewards.
