Job Opportunity: Paralegal Month Contractor Engagement

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Paralegal to join our client for a 12-18 month contractor engagement. In this role, you will assist in critical international corporate governance and contracting projects, working directly with our General Counsel and collaborating closely with the International and Contracts teams.

This position is crucial to managing compliance and contract lifecycle processes across multiple markets, ensuring smooth operations without delays. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to handle multiple priorities effectively, especially in the context of international governance and contract management.

Key Responsibilities:

International Corporate/Board Governance:

  • Ensure compliance with business licensure and registration across various Caribbean markets.
  • Collaborate with local outside counsel to uphold corporate governance standards.
  • Prepare and maintain compliance status reports, tracking key deadlines.

Contract Management:

  • Oversee the full contract lifecycle, from drafting to execution.
  • Organize and maintain contracts in electronic folders; assist in transitioning to an automated contract management system.
  • Conduct basic contract reviews and develop contract templates and forms.
  • Provide ongoing contract status updates to key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of in-house corporate counsel paralegal experience.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to define projects, set milestones, and communicate progress effectively.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with internal and external teams.
  • Time Management: Excellent ability to manage time and juggle multiple tasks across projects.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in legal research tools, Microsoft Office, and document management systems.
  • Attributes: Flexibility in working with various supervisors and team members, strong attention to detail, a take-charge attitude, and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

You will be working in a professional office environment, collaborating across departments to ensure the success of international corporate governance and contract management efforts.
