Job Title: Lactation Consultant

Corona Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Lactation Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our Maternal Child Health department, you will provide expert care and support to new mothers and their babies, helping to establish a strong foundation for a lifetime of health and well-being.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive lactation support and education to new mothers, addressing any concerns or challenges they may be experiencing.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care and support for our patients and their families.
  • Develop and implement lactation programs and services to promote breastfeeding success and support.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized plans to address lactation-related issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in lactation and maternal child health.
Requirements:
  • BSN or Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Current California R.N. license and IBCLC certification required.
  • 3 years of experience in Maternal/Child acute care setting preferred.
  • Current NRP certificate required (90 days from date of hire to obtain).
  • 2 years of teaching community-based parent education classes within the last 5 years preferred.
