Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for delivering effective, efficient, and timely delivery of our line of services to multiple customers within an assigned geographic territory.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventative maintenance checks and services on commercial HVAC systems, including inspection and repair/replacement of belts and pulleys, inspection and cleaning of condensate drain lines, and testing power/performance of compressor, fan motor, and blower motor.
- Diagnose and repair common mechanical, electrical, or system failure issues on standard boiler, package, and split unit HVAC systems.
- Complete general repairs of steam/hot water boiler systems and diagnose airflow and ducting repairs.
- Safely use and dispose of refrigerants in support of standard package and split unit HVAC systems.
- Perform minor plumbing maintenance, including unclogging toilets and drains, repairing leaks in drains and faucets, and replacing toilets and faucet fixtures as needed.
- Perform routine painting, carpentry work, and other tasks as necessary to maintain our clients' facilities in like-new condition.
- Complete service inspections and asset inspections as needed.
- Utilize technology, including tablets and smartphones, to access and complete work orders, create and submit service reports, and submit timesheets and expense reports.
- HS diploma or degree/certification in a related field, or equivalent professional experience in the trades (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.).
- Applicable certifications, licenses, and a valid driver's license in good standing.
- 5 years of experience in HVAC/general maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, write routine reports, and effectively present information in individual and small group situations.
- Ability to use and operate handheld devices and business systems or document management database software.
This position requires regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. Occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, high places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, and vibration. Required to drive a company vehicle daily.
