We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Creedmoor Psychiatric Center. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of meals for residents in a state facility.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and prepare menus to determine food quantities and cooking schedules.
- Measure, mix, and season ingredients according to state recipes using hand and power kitchen utensils.
- Supervise subordinate employees, providing guidance and oversight to ensure high-quality food preparation.
- Coordinate food distribution to separate dining areas.
- Ensure compliance with state recipes, food safety guidelines, and kitchen standards.
- Three years of experience in large-scale cooking, including one year of supervisory experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
