Job Summary

The Benedictine Wellness Assistant plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents within our community. This position is responsible for developing and implementing social, spiritual, therapeutic, and other wellness activities and programs that cater to the diverse needs of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement wellness programming that meets the needs of residents, including daily events and activities.
  • Collect and analyze data to inform the assessment process and support the development of individualized plans of care.
  • Collaborate with the care team to implement plans of care that address the unique needs of each resident.
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations and industry standards related to activities programming.
Requirements
  • At least 16 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in long-term care.
  • CPR certification.
  • First Aid Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Qualifications as required by federal regulations §483.15(f)(2), including licensure or registration by the State in which practicing, and eligibility for certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or activities professional.
  • 2 years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years, with at least 1 year of full-time experience in a patient activities program in a healthcare setting.
