About the Role

The Staff Thermal Simulation Engineer is a key member of our engineering team, responsible for developing and implementing thermal simulation methods and tools to optimize the thermal performance of our products. This role requires a strong background in thermal engineering, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and heat transfer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Thermal Simulation and Analysis: Develop and implement CFD and thermal simulation methods to analyze and optimize the thermal performance of our products.
  • Design and Development: Work with the engineering team to design and develop thermal components and systems that meet customer requirements.
  • Troubleshooting and Optimization: Troubleshoot thermal and airflow issues in new and existing product lines, and optimize the thermal performance of our products using empirical data and commercial CFD software.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with the engineering team, manufacturing engineering group, and customers to ensure that thermal simulation and analysis results are accurately communicated and implemented.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest thermal simulation and analysis techniques, and apply this knowledge to improve the thermal performance of our products.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree or Ph.D. preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in thermal engineering, CFD, and heat transfer.
  • Skills: Strong commercial CFD software skills (FloTherm preferred), strong engineering mathematics background, and knowledge of heat transfer and fluid mechanics.
  • Software: Proficient in 3D CAD software (Creo or SolidWorks preferred), and experience with scripting languages such as Python.
