Job Summary

The Assistant Store Leader at QuickChek is a key role responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the store in the absence of the Store Leader. This individual plays a crucial part in the selection, training, and development of all store Team Members. The Assistant Store Leader is accountable for ordering products, reducing shrinkage, tracking sales, and implementing loss prevention techniques. They must also maintain store standards, reduce inventory costs, and ensure compliance with QCez guidelines. Additionally, they are responsible for delegating tasks to Team Members, staying up-to-date on policies and procedures, and following proper vendor, cash handling, timekeeping, payroll, and sanitation procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service and respond to customer inquiries in a prompt, efficient, and friendly manner.
  2. Sales Growth: Maintain a focus on increasing sales and promoting a fresh, friendly, and clean store image.
  3. Food Service Operations: Demonstrate a proficiency in food service operations and maintain the freshness of all products.
  4. Team Management: Recruit, hire, and develop Team Members in essential job functions and encourage growth.
  5. Inventory Management: Ensure the safety of all customers and Team Members, maintain inventory levels, and order products as needed.
  6. Loss Prevention: Enforce and practice all company policies, including loss prevention policies, and reduce shrinkage.
  7. Reporting and Administration: Prepare reports, as required, and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  1. Education: High school graduate or college degree.
  2. Experience: Food service and/or retail management experience.
  3. Certifications: Completion of required training programs and learning activities, including Food Service Certification, and Serv-Safe certification.
  4. Personal Qualities: Ability to maintain QuickChek grooming and hygiene standards, basic computer skills, and ability to perform basic math calculations.
