Earth Geophysics Researcher

We are seeking an exceptional scientist to join our team as an Assistant Professor in Solid Earth Geophysics at the University of Texas at Austin. The successful candidate will conduct innovative research and contribute to teaching and mentoring at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Research FocusThe Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences is looking for a researcher who will develop a vibrant, externally funded research program that advances our understanding of the dynamics and evolution of the solid Earth. Areas of research specialization might include, but are not limited to, earthquake source and structural seismology studies and/or geodetic applications to tectonophysics.
QualificationsA Ph.D. is required at the time of appointment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geophysics and a proven track record of research excellence.
